Cullen claims final PDC Winter Series title with Ratajski win

Joe Cullen has claimed the final PDC Winter Series title to continue his brilliant form not only this week but as of late seeing off Krzysztof Ratajski in an 8-4 win.

A fifth PDC title for 'The Rockstar' and his second in two months after winning the last European Tour title at the International Darts Open as he heads into his maiden Grand Slam of Darts next week.

There was nothing to choose between Ratajski and Cullen to begin proceedings with the former in particular missing two darts at double 16 to break and Cullen made it 2-2 but 'The Polish Eagle' held to make it 3-2.

Cullen though took out 87 to make it 4-3 and held from the break to make it 5-3 as he looked to get into the groove.

A brilliant 171 from Cullen took him to 100 and a finish on Ratajski's throw, the latter though left it handily on 58 and after Cullen couldn't take out tops tops, 'The Polish Eagle' took out 40 to hold last dart in hand.

Cullen left 36 off 92 with Ratajski back at 127 but the latter couldn't find the requisite treble which allowed 'The Rockstar' to break once more and go 7-4 up.

Ratajski couldn't put much pressure on Cullen's throw at the end but the latter pinned 74 to claim victory.
