Dazzling Dobey defies 111 average from Cross to seal epic as Rock dumps out Van Gerwen at Players Championship 12

The Quarter-Final line-up is set at Players Championship 12 and it will not include Michael van Gerwen, Rob Cross or Gerwyn Price in Leicester.

Van Gerwen lost out to Josh Rock who sealed only his second career victory over the Dutchman who has played this weekend despite shoulder injury concerns after Thursday night's Premier League.

But it was the display of Chris Dobey that caught the eye as he averaged over 106 and hit eight 180's in seeing off Rob Cross 6-4 who himself averaged 111 in defeat. Price also lost out to Joe Cullen 6-3.

The four Quarter-Finals now see Dave Chisnall face Jonny Clayton, Damon Heta will take on Dobey, Boris Krcmar faces Rock and Andrew Gilding is set for a Cullen clash.
