Jose de Sousa strengthened his Premier League play-off push as he edged past Dimitri van den Bergh 8-6 in a tough battle.
This lifted De Sousa into the top four once more and saw Van den Bergh out of it for the first time.
Post match, 'The Special One' was pleased to receive fan support and also lauded praise on his good friend.
"It's nice to see the crowd again, it's a great feeling, it seems I do the right things so that's what I have so many fans and I'm glad," said De Sousa post match.
"A win in this moment is really important to make the play-offs. We don't play better because we have so much tension between us because we are friends. It was a difficult game for both of us but it's nice to win with all my respects to Dimi, he's a great player."
"I think I have a lot of respect from the fans. Now they know the player I am and the person I am. I'm very happy for this win and the support from the crowd."
