Jeffrey de Zwaan in and amongst a frenetic night of darting history produced a solid performance of his own in defeating Darin Young.
De Zwaan went 2-1 and 2-0 in legs down and was seemingly on the verge of going out but Young buckled and this allowed the Dutchman to gain confidence and force a decider.
He was eased through the decider and he was understandably pleased to turn it around.
"I feel relieved more than anything after that," admitted the Dutchman.
"Darin played really well but I was expecting that and I didn't start very well - but I'm really happy I turned it around to win."
