The UK Open Darts has increasingly faced an international field of participants in recent years. There are 25 different nationalities present at this year's FA Cup of Darts.
As many as 62 English darters made up the largest group, which is not surprising given the popularity of darts in the United Kingdom. The Netherlands reaffirms its status as one of the strongest darts nations with 27 participants, followed by Germany (11), Scotland (10) and Wales (8). Belgium also makes a significant contribution with 6 players, while Northern Ireland (5) and Ireland (4) send their darters to the stage.
Countries such as Poland (4), Sweden (3), and Austria (2) are also increasingly showing up at the highest level. In addition, darters from Canada, the United States, Australia and New Zealand are also competing, underscoring the growing global popularity of the sport.
Also participating in Minehead are players from countries such as Latvia, Portugal, France, Italy, Denmark, Norway, Croatia, Lithuania, Czech Republic and Switzerland.
