Chris Dobey pulled off a huge shock at the
World Matchplay. In the second round, he sent reigning world champion Michael Smith home 11-7.
"I'm just over the moon to get over the line," Dobey opens. "I didn't feel like I was in the game, I didn't feel I deserved to be in the game early doors. How I got it back to 5-5 I do not know. I knew I'd have to take my chances and once I got my head in front, I think you saw the best of me."
Premier League
Dobey won his first major title at the Masters early this year and then got to compete in the Premier League Darts. "I'm a whole different player this year. I've learnt a lot from the Premier League and I'm starting to put it into the stage matches."
In the quarterfinals, Dobey will take on Nathan Aspinall. "Nathan is my best friend on the Pro Tour, we even share a house here. I don't see any reason to suddenly change that either."
