Nieuwlaat analyzes where things went wrong for Noppert: "The first nine darts of both players were not fantastic"

Danny Noppert failed to qualify for the quarterfinals of the World Matchplay. 'The Freeze' narrowly went down 11-9 against Nathan Aspinall in the second round.

Noppert did not play his best match, but could still make it very exciting with Aspinall only managing to get rid of Noppert right at the end in a tight encounter.

On Dutch broadcaster Viaplay, Jacques Nieuwlaat analyzed where things went wrong for Noppert. ''Especially scoring (went wrong). That was really a thing. The first nine darts of both players were not fantastic. In the legs started by Noppert, Aspinall scored better than Noppert scored in the legs started by Aspinall. So that gave less pressure in Aspinall's legs.''

''What he also didn't get done were the outside chances. The chances where you got one arrow on the double. That's where Noppert scored one out of five,'' Nieuwlaat calculated.
