Dobey into Masters Quarter-Finals for first time after denying Humphries in superb clash

Chris Dobey has produced another upset adding to his win over Joe Cullen with a 10-8 success over Luke Humphries to reach the Quarter-Finals in Milton Keynes at the 2023 Masters.

Dobey edged through with a 94 average, three 180's and a pivotal 160 checkout and will now face Gerwyn Price or Dirk van Duijvenbode.

Dobey edged into a 3-2 lead early on with 75% on the outer ring. But at the interval, it remained close with Humphries staying in touch at 6-4 down despite missing 14 darts at double.

It was truly game on at 8-8 as Humphries produced a huge 108 checkout to make it 8-8.

But Dobey sent the game is his favour as he hit a blockbuster 160 checkout living up to his Hollywood moniker to go one away at 9-8 holding throw.

This proved vital as Dobey went on to hit a 64 checkout to seal the win 10-8 and move on.
