Clinical Clayton crushes Wade in easing through to Quarter-Finals of 2023 Masters

Jonny Clayton seems to be a man on a mission this weekend at the 2023 Masters with 'The Ferret' breezing past James Wade to reach tomorrow's Quarter-Finals in Milton Keynes.

Clayton who has spoken of his dismay of 2022 and wanting to put his poor season right is seemingly heading back towards some of his best with a 10-3 win over 'The Machine'.

This included a 99.7 average as he made light work of his fellow former champion.

At the first break, it was emphatic as he went into a 5-0 lead averaging 104 with three 180's and 63% on the outer ring but Wade began to add some legs to the tie to attempt a comeback.

He sat at the next interval 7-3 down with a 121 checkout but on return, it was back to clinical Clayton at his best as he crashed in an 86 checkout, followed by a 15-darter and after 72 was missed by Wade, it was double eight for the win.
