Doets claims first PDC title on Development Tour

Kevin Doets has won his first PDC Development Tour title on Friday afternoon. The Dutchman saw off Irish prospect Keane Barry after a leg-decider in the final.

Doets booked a couple of impressive wins en route to the final. The 22-year-old beat the likes of George Killington, Geert Nentjes, Brian Raman, Owen Roelofs and Adam Gawlas before defeating Barry.

The Development Tour is the PDC's youth circuit. This tour is open to players between the ages of 16 and 23, when they are not in the top 32 of the PDC Order of Merit on January 2, 2020.

Following Sunday's Event Ten, the top two players from the final Development Tour Order of Merit will win a two-year PDC Tour Card and a place in the 2020/21 William Hill World Darts Championship.

In addition, players from the Development Tour Order of Merit will progress to compete in Monday's PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship Last 96.
