Dolan pounces on 20 missed darts at doubles from Hendriks to surge through to Third Round at PDC World Darts Championship

Brendan Dolan has surged through to the post Christmas action at the 2022/23 PDC World Darts Championship to begin the penultimate session before the break begins.

Dolan pounced on 20 missed darts at doubles from Jimmy Hendriks who ends his debut in a 3-1 sets defeat.

Despite only averaging 83 to begin the tie, it was enough for Dolan to seal an early lead and a 3-1 set to begin the tie and with Hendriks squandering dart after dart to seal legs with 18 in all by the back end of the second set, Dolan surged to a 2-0 sets lead and was plain sailing.

Hendriks offered some resolve with a set back hitting 80 in the deciding leg to prolong the tie but this proved a consolation as Dolan surged through.

He hit a 180 to leave double 14 which he pinned to sweep the final set of the tie and will face Jonny Clayton or Danny van Trijp on return after Christmas.
