Chris Dobey has began his campaign at the 2022/23 PDC
World Darts Championship easing past Martijn Kleermaker and will return after Christmas to face Gary Anderson in the third round.
Dobey produced five 180's and two ton-plus checkouts en route to a 3-0 win over 'The Dutch Giant' with 'Hollywood' showing his credentials after reaching the fourth round last year.
It wasn't a clinical start to the tie for Dobey who edged the opening set but only just in a decider pinning double two to gain the early initiative.
But the clinical finishing soon came out as Dobey took control with a superb set with finishes of 114, 86 and 72 en route.
Kleermaker looked to hit back going one away from the third set but Dobey pinned double 10 to make it 2-1 and after darts were missed for the set, Dobey sealing double 16 for a 14-darter and hit double two finally to claim it after multiple match darts went prior.
