Impressive run of averages

Nijman underlined his excellent form once again with an impressive series of averages. The Dutchman posted no fewer than three averages over 108 at Players Championship 10, with a standout 109.98 during his 6-0 win in the last 32 against Czech player Adam Gawlas. That confirms his status as one of the most in-form players at the moment.
Behind Nijman came a strong display from Kevin Doets, who also impressed multiple times. The Dutchman’s best average of 107.36 came in his 6-0 win in the last 16 against Germany’s Gabriel Clemens, while he also produced solid marks of 103.17 and 102.59. Doets ultimately fell in the quarterfinals after a 6-4 defeat to Waites.
There were notable performances from England as well. James Hurrell showed with 105.95 that he is capable of competing at a high level, while Chris Dobey reaffirmed his class with averages of 105.07 and 102.37. Dobey won Players Championship 9 and reached the quarterfinals at the tenth Players Championship, where he lost 6-5 to Karel Sedlacek.

Huybrechts keeps performing strongly

Belgian pride was upheld by Kim Huybrechts, who also posted strong figures with averages of 104.43 and 101.71. Huybrechts, just as at Players Championship 9, again reached the last 32 at the tenth Players Championship. There he ultimately went down 6-3 against Brendan Dolan.

In addition, Danny Noppert and Jermaine Wattimena made themselves heard with averages of 103.25 and 103.22 respectively.
The numbers mainly underscore how high the level is right now. With so many players throwing well over a 100 average, the competition seems fiercer than ever and promises a particularly exciting run-in to the darts season.
The Players Championship now takes a two-week break and resumes on Monday, 04/27/2026 in Milton Keynes.
