It has been a good afternoon for Dutch hopes at the Gibraltar Darts Trophy with Wesley Plaisier and Dirk van Duijvenbode finding their way into the final day of action.
Plaisier saw off the last European Tour winner in Dave Chisnall in a 6-3 win which preserves his European Championship hopes.
He is currently not in though on countback with Krzysztof Ratajski currently having that spot so he will likely need another win with likely Luke Humphries awaiting next.
Defying a 100 average from Chisnall, he produced a 96.09 average with two 180's and two ton plus checkouts including a 126 and a 101 which sealed him the game after 'Chizzy' messed around on the doubles as he looked to prolong the game.
He was joined by Van Duijvenbode who could face compatriot Vincent van der Voort or Nathan Aspinall on the final day.
He saw off Jason Lowe in a 6-5 victory averaging 94 with 6/15 on his doubles as he held his nerve in a decider against the Cradley Heath thrower.
Going initially 5-2 up, Lowe then came back with three legs on the spin including hitting double four for 5-4 after Van Duijvenbode missed a match dart at 120. A 64 checkout saw him send it all the way and Lowe missed treble 19 for a 133 and 'The Titan' saved his skin on double 20.
