Fallon Sherrock will be in action later this week at the
Dutch Darts Masters at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. However, Saturday also starts the next weekend of the PDC
Women's Series.
After eight tournaments Sherrock occupies the second place on the Women's Series Order of Merit, with a clear lead on number three Lorraine Winstanley. But Winstanley could make up her ground on the 'Queen of the Palace' next weekend.
Should Sherrock lose in the first round of the
World Series of Darts tournament on Friday, efforts will be made to get her to Barnsley on time on Saturday. At 09:30 in the morning at the latest, she must be present at the venue to register.
Should the former Lakeside finalist win her first match, she will miss at least two tournaments on the Women's Series. In that case Sherrock plans to play on the Women's Series only on Sunday.
The Women's Series is an important route for Sherrock towards qualifying for the Grand Slam of Darts and the PDC World Darts Championship as well as the Women's World Matchplay. The two best players on the final ranking after twenty Women's Series tournaments get an invitation for the two former majors.
Speaking to Online Darts before the US Darts Masters, the Milton Keynes ace said she would pull double duty with a dilemma due to both holding weight for the in-demand darting star.
"I'm trying to do as much as I can when I'm at the Women's Series so I haven't got to worry about it. But I think it's going to have to get to the point where I'm going to have to play these events and if I don't do well, fly back or drive and play so I'm going to be knackered but if it's something I need to do, I'm going to have to do it."
"The one in Germany there is pretty much no chance. I'm hoping I don't need to be there, but if I need to be there I will try my best."
