Fallon Sherrock returns to big stage darts this weekend and plays in the US Darts Masters at the famous Madison Square Garden with the hype surrounding 'The Queen of the Palace' so far.
Sherrock who has been to a New York Rangers game and has been soaking up the sights and sounds of the Big Apple admits though that she now has a job to do and it isn't all about off the oche.
"I've really enjoyed the experience so far and obviously it's been a long wait but I'm happy that I still got the opportunity and I'm actually here now," said Sherrock to Online Darts.
"I'm not taking it all in yet because to me I've still got to play darts so until I've actually played all my games I'll take it in but I never actually take it all in just before I play because I obviously start feeling pressure."
Current state of game
But as a result of only being seen in big WDF tournaments and the Women's Series, there will inevitably be question marks over the game of the Milton Keynes ace.
"I think it's there, but obviously I just need the big stage to produce it because I've always said it I'm not as good on the floor as what I am on stage and for some reason, I don't know why when I get up on stage, I'm actually a better player than I am on the floor.
"At the Welsh Open, my best game was on the stage against Beau (Greaves), on the floor it weren't great. The Women's Series it's not been there but I know when I get on that stage, it will click."
Juggling World Series and Women's Series
Without a Tour Card, game time is more few and far between for Sherrock but she has the dilemma of the Women's Series clashing with the World Series in the coming months.
In particular the Dutch Darts Masters in Amsterdam but with it only being a two day event, the plan is to fly back whenever she departs the tournament as she continues to aim for the Ally Pally, Grand Slam and World Women's Matchplay.
"I'm trying to do as much as I can when I'm at the Women's Series so I haven't got to worry about it. But I think it's going to have to get to the point where I'm going to have to play these events and if I don't do well, fly back or drive and play so I'm going to be knackered but if it's something I need to do, I'm going to have to do it."
"The one in Germany there is pretty much no chance. I'm hoping I don't need to be there, but if I need to be there I will try my best."
Social media criticism
There has been criticism over Fallon's inclusion in the World Series tournaments despite the opportunity from 2020 rolling over with many pointing to the fact that certain Premier League stars have not been given the spot as a result.
But it is an opportunity that Sherrock admits others would take too if they were in her position.
"I don't ask for it, I'm literally given the opportunity and I'm taking it as what anyone else would do. No one is going to turn down a World Series because they won a couple of games on the stage but it is annoying that people do that but I just don't listen to them anyway because if the shoe was on the other foot people would take it, they wouldn't say no."
