The
draw and schedule has been confirmed ahead of the 2023
World Cup of Darts which will take place between June 15-18 with an expanded 40 teams, group stage and pairs only format.
The top four ranked nations forego that with England, Netherlands, Scotland and Wales all set to play from the second round onwards. The remaining 36 will be split into 12 groups of three for the round-robin including 12 seeded nations.
The winner of each group will progress. This features Australia, the defending champions. They will face Guyana and Gibraltar respectively.
Home heroes Germany will face Hong Kong and Japan in Group B, while Dimitri van den Bergh and Kim Huybrechts for Belgium will face Finland and China.
Group D features Northern Ireland's Daryl Gurney and Brendan Dolan alongside debutants France and Ukraine, with Republic of Ireland set to face Thailand and Croatia with the team of William O'Connor and debutant Keane Barry.
Other headline teams include Mensur Suljovic and Rowby-John Rodriguez in Group F for Austria as well as USA and Denmark.
Jeff Smith and Matt Campbell team up for Canada once more to face India and Hungary.
While big chances emerge for Czech Republic, Spain and Latvia as well as Switzerland who will all headline groups all with a chance to get through to face one of the seeded nations.
