Draw and Schedule for 2021 Gibraltar Darts Trophy confirmed

The draw for the Gibraltar Darts Trophy has been confirmed on Thursday. From September 24-26, the second - and last - European Tour tournament of the year will be played in Gibraltar.

This European Tour tournament in Gibraltar is on the PDC calendar for the eighth time, with former winners James Wade, Michael van Gerwen, Michael Smith and defending champion Krzysztof Ratajski among the 48-player field. These players are among the top 16 seeds, meaning they are entering the event in the second round on Saturday.

The 32 qualifiers are entering the tournament in the first round on Friday, which includes a top tie between Luke Humphries and Germany's number one Gabriel Clemens.

The afternoon session will see World Cup champion John Henderson facing Boris Krcmar, while Rob Cross and Mervyn King also play on Friday afternoon.

In the evening session's opener Stephen Bunting will meet Florian Hempel for a place in the second round. Simon Whitlock, Kim Huybrechts and Kim Huybrechts will also make their appearance on Friday evening.
