Waites extends Winmau contract: "I’m not here to make up the numbers, this is the next stage in my career"

Scott Waites has signed a new five year contract extension with Winmau Darts as he heads towards retaining his PDC Tour Card at the end of the season.

Waites earned his Tour Card at the start of 2020 and has climbed the PDC rankings while also maintaining the support of Winmau throughout who have been alongside him since 2008 before his double World Championship and Grand Slam success.

“I’m immensely proud of what I’ve achieved in the sport of darts over the years, the journey has been incredible and I’ve met so many great people along the way” said Waites.

“After years of consideration I made the switch to the PDC last year, as I finally felt ready to give it the full commitment it requires.

“I’m not here to make up the numbers, this is the next stage in my career and I’m here to compete for titles. It’s been a disruptive start to the tour with the global pandemic but I’m happy with my progress and ready to kick on to the next level.

“Having the backing of such a supportive brand as Winmau is amazing and I’m delighted to extend my sponsorship as my journey continues”
