Draw and schedule International Darts Open 2024: Defending champ Gerwyn Price could open against Brendan Dolan

The PDC has announced the draw and playing schedule for the 2024 International Darts Open. Defending champion Gerwyn Price could face Brendan Dolan.

The two already met at the end of December in the World Darts Championship. Then, Dolan caused a shock and knocked the former world champion out at the Alexandra Palace, en route to the quarter-finals. For a rematch to take place, Dolan will have to beat Kai Gotthardt.
Michael van Gerwen had also qualified for this tournament, but he decided to cancel. Gary Anderson also chose not to make the trip to Riesa. They will be replaced by Lee Evans and Dylan Slevin. Stephen Bunting and Joe Cullen have advanced to the list of seeds due to the cancellations.
Elsewhere, Luke Humphries will play against Jose De Sousa or Cor Dekker in the last 32, Michael Smith faces Jitse van der Wal or Ritchie Edhouse and top seed Dave Chisnall has either Richard Veenstra or Andrew Gilding.
