The European Tour will continue this weekend with Event 11 taking place in the form of the German Darts Open in Jena from September 9-11 as the race to the European Championship hots up.
Peter Wright will be one of the top names in Jena and he could face Raymond van Barneveld in the second round if the doyen of Dutch Darts gets past Ian White.
Friday's action also includes Gabriel Clemens - Martin Lukeman and Daryl Gurney - Josh Rock. While Luke Humphries will enter the fray as top seed on Saturday against either Jamie Hughes or Daniel Larsson.
World Number One, Gerwyn Price will play this week against fellow Welshman Lewy Williams, while newly crowned Hungarian Darts Trophy champion in Joe Cullen faces Joe Murnan.
The main news though is that Michael van Gerwen, Michael Smith, Adrian Lewis and Darren Webster have decided late against playing and as a result Martin Schindler and Dave Chisnall replace the former two as seeds.
As a result, Ross Smith, Lewy Williams, Beaton and Murnan will receive Byes through to Saturday’s second round.
