Draw confirmed for semi-finals at UK Open: Barry to face Smith, O'Connor set for Noppert clash

The draw has been confirmed for the semi-finals of the 2022 UK Open which will take place on Sunday evening with the winners facing off in the final with no draw needed for that.

Michael Smith will likely get his best chance at becoming a major champion months after his second World Championship heartbreak.

In his way though will be Keane Barry, part of the new generation with no fear on the oche of prior reputations. He will aim to dump out 'Bully Boy' and as his nickname 'Dynamite' suggests blow away the St Helens ace.

Following that, William O'Connor will face Danny Noppert. 'The Magpie' saw off Polish youngster Sebastian Bialecki in the Quarters, while for Noppert on his second weekend of the season after becoming a dad for the first time - he saw off Damon Heta.

A previous major finalist, Noppert will likely start tonight as second favourite to collect his first in Minehead.
