Draw European Darts Trophy 2025 | Opponents confirmed by Luke Humphries, Michael van Gerwen, Gerwyn Price and others

The draw for the 2025 European Darts Trophy has been announced. This Euro Tour tournament will take place from Friday, March 21 to Sunday, March 23. Among the participants are the majority of the biggest stars in the sport today.
World champion Luke Littler is the most notable absentee this tournament. Gerwyn Price may face Ryan Searle in the second round. Rob Cross faces a duel with Andrew Gilding or Callan Rydz, while Gary Anderson will take on the winner of the match between Luke Woodhouse and Dominik Gruellich.

Michael van Gerwen, Danny Noppert and Dimitri van den Bergh are automatically seeded for the second round. In that second round, Van Gerwen faces a duel with the winner of the match between Daryl Gurney and Niko Springer. Danny Noppert will possibly meet his compatriot Wessel Nijman, provided he manages to deal with Paul Krohne in the first round. For Van den Bergh Ryan Joyce or 'The Rockstar' Joe Cullen awaits.
Jermaine Wattimena will play Finnish darter Marko Kantele in his first round match before taking on Chris Dobey in a possible next round. For Dirk van Duijvenbode, after his first round match against Boris Krcmar, a possible duel awaits with the current number one in the world: Luke Humphries. Kevin Doets is the last Dutchman on the participants list and meets Ritchie Edhouse in his first match. If he wins, he will have to deal with Nathan Aspinall.
Gian van Veen will have to deal with Connor Scutt in the first round, should he succeed he will face Josh Rock in the second round. Mike De Decker starts his tournament against Martin Lukeman. Should the Belgian survive this first hurdle, 'Snakebite' Peter Wright will face him in the next round. Raymond van Barneveld faces the lightning-fast Ricky Evans in his first round match. A possible showdown with Dave Chisnall then awaits in round two.
The first round will take place on Friday, where the 16 Pro Tour players will face 16 players who emerged from the various qualifying tournaments. The winners of these matches will face a player from the top-16 of the world rankings in the second round on Saturday. The third round will be played on Sunday afternoon, before the quarterfinals, semifinals and final are completed on Sunday evening.

- Likewise, I have always been a fan of Mervyn and with this worry on his mind, it explains why his form and ranking plummeted. - The thing is... the folks who "humiliated" Taylor in the Seniors Events never really achieved anything in the important events - like Taylor did.
