Draw made for 2020 World Cup of Darts: Tricky draw for top seed England

The draw has been released for the 2020 World Cup of Darts which is set to take place at the Salzburgarena in Austria from November 6-8.

England have a really tough draw to begin their tournament as top seeds with the pairing of Michael Smith and Rob Cross set to face off against Lourence Ilagan and Noel Malicdem of the Philippines.

Scotland who are without defending champions Peter Wright and Gary Anderson will face Japanese pairing Seigo Asada and Yuki Yamada with new look team John Henderson and Robert Thornton.

Speaking of new look pairings, Michael van Gerwen will team with Danny Noppert this time around for the Netherlands. They are third seed and will take on Brazil.

Second seeds and one of the favourites for the title in Wales who have Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton will take on Russia who include Boris Koltsov in their line-up.

Northern Ireland's Daryl Gurney and Brendan Dolan face a potentially tricky first round tie when they face Jeff Smith and Matt Campbell of Canada.

Popular Singapore pairing of Paul Lim and Harith Lim will face Hungary, while debutant Damon Heta and Simon Whitlock face last year's finalists Ireland who have Steve Lennon and William O'Connor once more.
