Draw Players Championship 1: Michael Smith v Dimitri van den Bergh leads first round line-up

The first Players Championship tournament of 2025 begins in Wigan on Monday from 1 p.m. The PDC has announced the draw for the first round of the tournament. The field consists of 128 players with only minimal top names missing from action.

Luke Littler, Luke Humphries, Gary Anderson and Gerwyn Price lead a field which doesn't include Michael van Gerwen. He is one of the absent players at the start of the new Pro Tour season.

Beau Greaves will make her debut on the PDC Pro Tour on Monday. She has been invited to fill in as number one on the Challenge Tour Order of Merit. She will play her first Players Championship match against Owen Bates.

So although Van Gerwen is missing, all the other top darters are present. As well as Luke Humphries and Luke Littler, Rob Cross, Stephen Bunting, Peter Wright, Michael Smith and Gary Anderson are among the big names that will make their appearance.

A total of 125,000 pounds in prize money is distributed at each Players Championship tournament. The winner of the event will receive a check for 15,000 pounds.
