Draw Players Championship 29 announced: Key day in the race for World Championship qualification

On Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m., 128 players will start Players Championship 29, the penultimate Pro Tour tournament of the season.

For a lot of players, this event marks a key event in the run-up to the World Championship. With time running out before Alexandra Palace, a good performance could secure players a spot at the showpiece event.

Michael van Gerwen is competing in Pro Tour tournaments again this week. He was paired with Lee Evans in the draw. For Gerwyn Price, a tie with Jules van Dongen awaits, while Peter Wright faces Jamie Hughes.

Elsewhere, one of the stars of the recent European Championship, Gian van Veen crosses swords with Jim Williams, and Michael Smith meets Ross Montgomery.

A total of 100,000 pounds in prize money is distributed at each Players Championship tournament. The winner of the event will receive a check for 12,000 pounds.
