Draw released for Players Championship 3: Hughes versus Anderson and Van den Bergh against Ashton among first round ties

The big names are all involved with the likes of Michael van Gerwen, Gary Anderson and Gerwyn Price all set to take to the oche.

For Anderson a tough tie awaits against Jamie Hughes in one of the ties of the round. Lisa Ashton also has one to look out for against Dimitri Van den Bergh.

We also have the small matter of Glen Durrant versus Matthew Edgar which with their Twitter feud could make for ‘Prime Time’ viewing.

Other ties include Jeff Smith, who impressed so much in his first weekend versus Mensur Suljovic. As well as the aforementioned Price against Ryan Searle.

Also Ryan Meikle and Cristo Reyes are late withdrawals this weekend meaning Rob Collins and Matthew Dennant move up from the Challenge Tour.
