The draw for this year's
World Grand Prix has been confirmed ahead of the double start tournament getting underway on October 6 in Coventry.
Michael van Gerwen is the defending champion and will aim to make it three in a row and six overall in a new venue in the Ricoh Arena with the tournament being moved from the Citywest for this year.
He will have a tricky first round assignment though in 'The Polish Eagle'
Krzysztof Ratajski who will aim to spring another upset on the World Number One who was dumped out in both the World Matchplay and Premier League.
Gary Anderson due to now being outside of the top eight seeded players was always going to be a danger for one of the big names and 'The Flying Scotsman' who was a runner-up in 2016 will face off against
Rob Cross who has got himself back into form as of late.
Devon Petersen will make his debut in Coventry after his German Darts Championship triumph and will hope double eight and double 16 are as on as in Hildesheim when he takes on fellow debutant Jose de Sousa.
World Champion, Peter Wright will face Ryan Joyce, while World Number Three, Gerwyn Price will take on Jermaine Wattimena.
Other top ties include Dave Chisnall against Glen Durrant and Mensur Suljovic taking on another debutant in Dirk van Duijvenbode who will likely adorn the Ricoh Arena with his famous walk on despite there being no crowd.
