Drops for Van Gerwen and Price as ProTour Order of Merit updated after latest Players Championship double header

The ProTour Order of Merit has been updated after the latest double header of Players Championship action.
Dirk van Duijvenbode is now up to third and is the best Dutchman with Michael van Gerwen dropping down to eighth from third as they swap places.
Gerwyn Price is also out of the top 16. This Order of Merit is used for the European Tour as well meaning that Price has to now qualify for these tournaments.
Price though did not play the Qualifier this past weekend so will miss Graz and Leeuwarden and will have to continue to go to them barring if he gets back into the top 16.

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
