Matthew Edgar has summed up his 2020 PDC season on his YouTube channel, Edgar TV which he said had a lot of positives.
This included first victories on the World Championship stage as well as consistent formon the Players Championship series.
"Season started, it didn't start too well for me. At the first Players Championship in eight events I won two matches. I had a couple of good games, I lost a couple of 6-5's but I just wasn't getting the results. I was struggling, it's well documented that I suffer with a wrist problem at times," said Edgar.
"Lockdown came probably at the right time, it gave me time to rest and recover. The UK Open was a good one for me, I got the fifth round."
"Summer Series, really good finished 34th in the overall rankings. Also managed to get wins over Mensur Suljovic and Gary Anderson."
"Autumn Series did quite well over there in Germany. I finished 50th place which is top 64 and it's above where I currently am in the World rankings."
"Lost in the Grand Slam qualifier against Simon Whitlock. Simon got in the Grand Slam, I played with disappointment for the rest of that event (Winter Series). For the first time in three years, I wasn't going to play in the Players Championship Finals, I sat at home and watched that and it hurt. I'm not going to lie."
"Played fantastic at the World Championship Qualifier, I'm really happy with the performances I put in at the World Championship. Lots of positives to take from this year."
