Edhouse claims third career PDC Challenge Tour title with Event Nine victory

The penultimate event of the PDC Challenge Tour season is complete with Ritchie Edhouse claiming a third career title on the secondary tour in Event Nine.

Edhouse edged past Scott Taylor 5-4 in the final after previously seeing off the likes of Maikel Verberk (5-3) and Jarred Cole (5-0) in the latter stages.

'Madhouse' moves up to fifth on the Order of Merit but will likely need at least a final in the next event to have a chance at a Tour Card.

At the moment, David Evans looks assured of a Tour Card and finishing top of the Challenge Tour Order of Merit.

'Stretch' currently sits on £4,400 and Keane Barry would need to win the last title to unseat him. An interesting complexion sits on the second Tour Card with Barry's Tour Card won on the Development Tour going to Damian Mol if he finishes 1st or 2nd.

He is currently £50 ahead of Matthew Dennant and £150 ahead of Scott Mitchell - his nearest rivals. If Barry goes out early, Mitchell would need a Last 16 run while Dennant would only need to reach the Last 64. The trio will be interesting to watch going into the final knockings of the Challenge Tour.
