Ritchie Edhouse is through to the second round after victory over Boris Koltsov in which he impressed on his PDC World Championship debut.

Edhouse, also known as 'Madhouse' looked to win in straight sets but lost out in a deciding leg when going for victory; which meant he had to play a set more but he finished the job in the end to move through to a tie against James Wade.
Edhouse started off well hitting a 180 followed by double four to take the early lead. He broke throw quickly to make it 2-1 and finish the set going 3-1 up with a 106 checkout to seal it.
Both players exchanged early breaks and the Enfield ace left double nineteen but went into double seven first dart so he had to switch and hit double 12 brilliantly.
He went ahead from there holding throw to go 2-1 up and one away from going two sets up. He hit a 25 checkout to go two up.
The next set was a lot more even but despite Edhouse going one away from victory at 2-1 up, he was well off in the last leg of the set allowing Koltsov to nick the set.
Koltsov's revival continued as he pinned double 10 to break throw and go one up to begin the next set. He hit double four to go 2-0 up and go one away from forcing a deciding set after previously being on the brink of defeat.
Koltsov had darts to hit a 137 and win the set and Edhouse pounced all over it going one away again. After 12 darts, Edhouse had 36 to win and despite having multiple attempts, he pinned it last dart in hand on double nine.
