Ritchie Edhouse and Martin Schindler have bounced back after early defeats with victories over Lisa Ashton and Adam Gawlas in their second group games at the Grand Slam of Darts.
The game was actually quite close in terms of level, but Edhouse handled his chances more efficiently and triumphed 5-2 with 55.6% on the doubles proving the difference for 'Madhouse' who keeps his hopes alive.
Also doing so was Schindler who sealed a hard fought win over Adam Gawlas 5-3. He took advantage of many missed doubles with Gawlas spurning chances for 4-2. Instead, it was 3-3 and Schindler pounced again after two more darts went begging and a last dart effort saw 'The Wall' seal it.
With a 5-4 defeat only to Dirk van Duijvenbode, he only has a slender difference in terms of legs keeping his hopes very much alive.
