Ritchie Edhouse will take on Gerwyn Price as 'The Iceman' opens up his
World Darts Championship title defence later on this evening in the final game of the opening session.
Edhouse recovered from 2-1 down to edge out Peter Hudson in a scrappy affair which saw 39 missed darts at doubles from 'Madhouse' despite victory.
Both players were poor on doubles to begin the tie with Edhouse breathing a sigh of relief as he took the opening set despite miss 17 darts at doubles.
Hudson began set two with his first hold of throw but Edhouse himself levelled it up, this pattern continued with a decider in set two.
'The Rock' hit his fourth maximum of the match and had his first darts at a set only to return with Edhouse only pressuring.
Hudson busted his chance to break and Edhouse took the lead in set three. It continued with the holds until Edhouse couldn't pin the Madhouse and Hudson took a 2-1 lead and was throwing for the set.
He took it and let out a roar as he went one set away from a tie with Gerwyn Price.
An early break from Edhouse was nearly cancelled out as he continued to miss doubles but a clutch double five saw him go one away from a deciding set.
A 91 checkout saw Edhouse go one away from the victory with a break before claiming it on double 16 to set up a tie with Price.
