Entries Players Championship 27-28: Humphries, Littler, Van Gerwen, Anderson and Price all set for penultimate double header

On Tuesday, Oct. 15 and Wednesday, Oct. 16, Players Championship 27 and Players Championship 28 will be played at the Robin Park Tennis Centre in Wigan. This is the penultimate Pro Tour double header of the season.
Virtually all of the world's top players are also competing in the Players Championship double header. The list of participants includes Luke Humphries, Michael van Gerwen, Luke Littler, Michael Smith, Gary Anderson, Gerwyn Price and Peter Wright.
Missing this double header are Geert Nentjes, Ronny Huybrechts, Adrian Lewis, Christian Perez, Haupai Puha, Pascal Rupprecht, Leighton Bennett and Adam Smith-Neale have not registered for the next two Players Championship tournaments.
The vacant spots will be filled by the highest ranked players on the PDC Challenge Tour Order of Merit. Connor Scutt, Wesley Plaisier, Christian Kist, Danny Jansen, Andy Boulton, Jimmy van Schie, Lee Cocks and Darryl Pilgrim have accepted the opportunity to compete on the Pro Tour.
A total of 125,000 pounds in prize money is distributed at each Players Championship tournament. The winner of the event will receive a check for 15,000 pounds.
