The name of Luke Littler is one of the standout eye-catchers on the entry list for Players Championship 29 and 30, to be played on 22 and 23.09.2026 at the Maaspoort in Den Bosch.

His possible participation had already been hinted at earlier. “The Nuke” skipped the first 26 Players Championship events of the season and played his first two floor tournaments of the year in September. He banked £10,500 in prize money there, though that is still far from enough to climb into the top 64 on the Players Championship Order of Merit.
It briefly looked as if Littler had little appetite to play Players Championship events this season, but the 19-year-old Englishman still has a shot at winning all televised tournaments within one calendar year.
That dream will be over if Littler fails to win the World Series of Darts Finals this weekend. Littler had also indicated earlier that he would only play the two floor events in Den Bosch if he lifted the major in Amsterdam.

Littler not the only world-class name on the entry list

There are plenty of other big names heading to the Maaspoort. The entry list also includes Nathan Aspinall, Rob Cross, Gerwyn Price, Josh Rock and James Wade. On the flip side, Gary Anderson, Stephen Bunting, Jonny Clayton, Luke Humphries and Ryan Searle are among those missing from the Den Bosch double-header.
For many of those it is a tad expected as for the most part they are qualified for Minehead. For instance Humphries solidified his hopes last time out. Also with the World Grand Prix on the horizon before the end of the European Tour season to follow, it is very much the only real slot where big names can take time off.
Perhaps though the PDC would've expected better for some given the vast majority are playing in Amsterdam this weekend at the World Series of Darts Finals. Players such as Gary Anderson though snubbed it entirely. As well as those names Yorick Hofkens, Rusty-Jake Rodriguez and Niko Springer are out.
