Entries released for Players Championship 27 & 28: Van Gerwen set to play on Saturday, Cadby returns

The entry list has been released for the next Players Championship double header which takes place this weekend at the CityWest in Dublin ahead of the World Grand Prix.

Kyle Anderson, Jamie Bain, Robert Marijanovic and Raymond van Barneveld are all not involved on both days; with all but Van Barneveld sitting out the last few.

Van Barneveld likely isn't playing due to him not being involved at the double start event at the same venue.

Michael van Gerwen will not play on the Friday but will be involved on the second day of action ahead of his title defence beginning on the first night against Jamie Hughes.

Corey Cadby will also make his long awaited return to action as he aims to make a last ditched attempt to make the Alexandra Palace at the end of the year.

In terms of replacmeents, Stephen Burton, Ritchie Edhouse (only Saturday), Boris Koltsov, Cameron Menzies, Jesus Noguera and Callan Rydz (only Saturday) will be picked from the Challenge Tour.
