Evans discusses effect of MODUS Live League during lockdown: "If it wasn't for that, I don't think I'd have my Tour Card now"

David Evans was one of the main success stories of the MODUS Live Leagues and online darts as a whole during the first Coronavirus lockdown.

Evans came from being nowhere in the Challenge Tour rankings to claiming a PDC Tour Card and World Championship debut.

Speaking on the Darts Museum podcast, he owe his successful run to playing in that environment last year and keeping himself match ready.

"If it wasn't for that, I don't think I'd have my Tour Card now. It stood me in good stead for when the last Challenge Tours were coming, I needed a miracle going into the last bit. I think I was 56th in the rankings," said Evans.

"I knew the game was there and my confidence was there from winning quite a few of the MODUS Leagues. It gave me a massive boost, not to mention the 5-0 walloping Fallon (Sherrock) gave me."
