Evans dumped out by Dutch ace Dragt, Vandenbogaerde edges out Zonneveld in decider

Martijn Dragt immediately opened the new Euro Tour season with a big shock. The Dutchman eliminated Ricky Evans in the opening match of the Baltic Sea Darts Open.
Evans missed three chances in the third leg to break Dragt, after which Dragt managed to get to 2-1 via double 2. He then ran out to a 4-1 lead before Evans threw a 14-darter for 4-2. Dragt then made it 5-2 via double 15. Evans then missed two chances for 5-3, before Dragt finished the job with a 17-darter.
After Dragt's victory, a Dutchman also had to leave the tournament. Niels Zonneveld lost out to Mario Vandenbogaerde, who could not be broken. All legs went with the darts, allowing the Belgian to win 6-5.
