Evetts has signed a long-term contract; which means he joins the likes of Glen Durrant and Jermaine a Wattimena; to be managed by Mac Elkin.
Elkin spoke about the signing; he said that he has been a long-time target and that it is a Christmas present.
Despite that, he admits one or two players may have to move on as a result; but that Evetts fits in with their dynamic already.
“It’s a really exciting signing for use,” said Mac Elkin in the aftermath of the signing.
“I’ve been after Ted for years, he’s only 22, he’s just finished number 1 on the Development Tour Order of Merit winning 8 events in 2019 alone; I remember the Warwickshire Chairman Neil Pritchard phoning me 5 years ago telling me about this kid from Southam; I watched him secure a tour card on the second day in 2016 and he’s just got better and better and now for him to put pen to paper is the perfect early Christmas present”.
“There maybe another signing very soon also one or two players will be moving on to pastures new; but we believe Ted fits in with what we are trying to build and achieve here and at the tender age of 22 we know we have secured a diamond and can’t wait to start working to further his career”
