Ted Evetts has been one of the best players on the Development Tour for a number of years now and is highly touted as one of the brightest prospects in the game.

Ahead of the PDC World Championship, Evetts stopped by the Darts Show Podcast and spoke about playing on the Development Tour.
'Super Ted' said that he was pleased to achieve the incredible feat of winning a tournament everyday he turned up but that the tour can be both easier and difficult due to the different standards of players.
"With the standard of the Development Tour, I've been quite lucky really because winning a tournament every day I turned up was wow, I don't think anybody has done that before so I'm more than happy to have done so," said Evetts to The Darts Show Podcast.
"On the Development Tour you can be quite lucky in a sense of they have got a lack of experience so you are going to get the extra opportunity there while on the main tour you don't. It's hard as there's players on there who are just 16 and are starting out in the game and then you've got players like Luke Humphries, the older players who have that touch."

World Championship Memories

The Warwickshire ace has played previously in two requisite editions of the World Championship losing his first and second round ties and they are both ties that he will not forget for different reasons.
"Debut up there against Gerwyn Price was one to remember but maybe not for the correct reasons. Still one I'm not going to forget but after the first year going into the second year I felt a bit more confident," added Evetts.
'Going in there with Adrian Lewis, he's turned on a little bit of form which was always a pleasure to watch but not when it's coming against you.'

Facing Sherrock

Evetts will face Fallon Sherrock, who will make her debut in the event after coming through the tough UK Women's Qualifier and he said that he will prepare the same as usual with his A game in mind.
'Every game we're going to get up there is hard. You're never going to get an easy draw or passage through to the next round. I am planning to go up there having my A game ready and practice is going really well at the moment so I can't complain.'
'It'll definitely be different playing a lady as I haven't played one in a very long while in any competition. I've just got to treat it like any other game.'
