As we continue to look ahead to the PDC World Championship, we look back at the highest tournament averages in history.

Number one came from Michael van Gerwen when he hit 106.32 over the course of his 2017 World Championship win showing consistent form throughout.
He is also second with 104.68 the year before when he reached the 3rd Round. This was at a point when Mighty Mike was very much imperious and hitting some of the best form of his career.
Speaking of best form, Phil Taylor is next up during his domination with two efforts in the top five in 2010 and 2009 respectively with 104.63 and 104.08 respectively. Adrian Lewis, his fellow Stoke ace is sandwiched in between with 104.19 in 2010.
Van Gerwen appears two more times on the list with 104.05 and 103.38 back in 2018 and 2019 and there is also two appearances from Gary Anderson in 2017 and 2011 when he lost both times in the final.
