During this year’s Premier League Darts, a special prize is once again up for grabs. Title sponsor BetMGM has confirmed that any player who hits a nine-darter will be rewarded with a bespoke set of solid gold darts, estimated to be worth a stunning £30,000. The exclusive darts are crafted from 18-carat gold and are specially made by jeweller Humphrey and Hawkins.
The reward applies to all eight participants in the Premier League 2026 and can be won multiple times across the 17 league nights of the prestigious tournament. Since the inception of Premier League Darts, the perfect leg has already been thrown 21 times, making it likely that the golden darts will once again find their way to the players this year.

Record year in 2025

Last year’s Premier League Darts delivered a historic standard, with a record five nine-darters. Luke Humphries, Rob Cross, and Luke Littler all found perfection, while Gerwyn Price hit a nine-darter twice. For Price, that lifted his career tally in the Premier League Darts to five perfect legs.
Thanks to these exceptional feats, BetMGM had to pay out £150,000 in golden darts, making the initiative a major hit, for the sponsor as well as for the players and fans.

Littler favourite for 2026

For the 2026 edition, Luke Littler, a two-time world champion and the 2024 Premier League Darts winner, is the clear bookies favourite. The young Englishman leads the betting at 4/5. Defending champion Luke Humphries follows at 9/2, while World Darts Championship finalist Gian van Veen is rated at 5/1.
With these names on the oche, it promises to be another tournament of exceptional quality, where a nine-darter never feels far away.
The PDC has also welcomed BetMGM’s initiative with enthusiasm. Adam Perfect, Head of Commercial at the PDC, highlighted the positive impact: “It’s brilliant that BetMGM is running this initiative again for this year’s Premier League.“
"It went down really well with the players last year and the fact we saw five nine-darters across the 17 weeks of action shows how much of an added incentive it was,” he added.

BetMGM sees it as an extra storyline

BetMGM itself looks back with great satisfaction on the introduction of the golden darts. Dan Towse, Brand Director at BetMGM, views it as a valuable addition to the tournament: “With five nine-darters, the standard we saw in last year’s BetMGM Premier League was absolutely unbelievable, and we felt it was only right to once again reward the eight players if they can thrill the crowds by hitting more in 2026."
Towse also stressed that the feedback from the playing group was highly positive: “We were really happy with the feedback we received from the players last year about the £30,000 18ct gold darts and they act as a really interesting subplot in what is set to be another brilliant tournament.”
