Fallon Sherrock and Andy Hamilton among winners on Day 2 of first phase at UK Q-School

Fallon Sherrock has qualified for the final stage at the UK Q-School in Milton Keynes after a fine run of wins. The 'Queen of the Palace' managed to win her five matches on Tuesday, making her one of the eight daily winners.

The 29-year-old English defeated successively David Davies (5-1), Ryan Hogarth (5-1), Adrian Gray (5-4), Paul Redfern (5-3) and Brett Claydon (5-0). In her last match, Sherrock played her best match with an average of 97.60.

In addition to Sherrock, Patrik Williams, Andy Hamilton, Shane McGuirk, Kevin Lane, Charlie Martin, Jamie Atkins and Chris Quantock also managed to secure a starting spot for the final stage. Whether Hamilton will actually play the final stage, by the way, is highly uncertain. 'The Hammer' is scheduled to compete in the weekly MODUS Super Series tournament later this week.

During the first phase of the Q-School, no PDC Tour Cards are handed out yet. Players are trying to qualify for the final phase, which is scheduled from January 11 to 14. Players who lost their Tour Card after last season and the top eight players from the Challenge Tour and Development Tour in 2023 are directly admitted to the final stage.

Qualification for the final stage is possible by reaching the last eight of one of the three tournaments. If that fails, players with enough wins during the first three days can still qualify for the final stage of the European Q-School via the rankings.
