Fallon Sherrock beats Lisa Ashton and achieves PDC Women's Series milestone

Fallon Sherrock crowned herself the winner Sunday afternoon at the 11th tournament of the PDC Women's Series. At the event in Rosmalen, she was too strong for her compatriot Lisa Ashton in the final.

Sherrock won in her first three rounds over Wendy Renstadtler (4-2), Steph Clarke (4-1) and Laura Turner (4-1) for a spot in the last eight. In the quarterfinals against Lauren Bloomfield, 'The Queen of the Palace' fell behind 3-1 and 4-3, but she still pulled ahead 5-4.

After that, Sherrock smoothly played her way past her last two opponents. In the semifinals, Kirsi Viinikainen was beaten 5-2 and then Sherrock triumphed 5-0 in her final against Ashton.

It marked an anniversary title for the 30-year-old Englishwoman, who won a Women's Series title for the 20th time in her career. Only Beau Greaves (33) has won more Women's Series titles than Sherrock, who did now distance herself further from Lisa Ashton (18).

The matches on the stream track will be broadcast via PDCTV. To do so, you need to create an account and purchase a subscription. A monthly subscription costs £9.99, while an annual subscription is also available for £59.99. A special summer pass is also available.

Also, live streams are available through various betting sites. With these websites, you usually need a balance of at least five euros to access the stream offerings.

If there are at least 128 players competing, the PDC Women's Series participants will be awarded prizes from the last 64, with fifty pounds for reaching this round. If there are fewer than 128 players, the counter only starts running from the last 32. In that case they do collect one hundred pounds.

This amount eventually keeps increasing. A final place already earns 1,000 pounds anyway. The winner of the tournament receives 2,000 pounds in prize money.
