Fallon Sherrock grabs opening Women's Series title of 2024 with win over Beau Greaves in final

Fallon Sherrock has won the first tournament of the PDC Women's Series 2024. In the final, the "Queen of the Palace" settled with her great rival Beau Greaves.

Sherrock lost only five legs on her way to the final. She successively defeated Denise Cassidy (4-0), Jane Robson (4-0), Anca Zijlstra (4-2), Deta Hedman (4-0), Kim Holden (5-1) and Katie Sheldon (5-2).
In the final, Greaves was able to turn a 3-2 deficit into a 4-3 lead through two 18-darters. Sherrock then broke her back with a 16-darter, however, before taking the victory with an 18-darter in the deciding leg. For Sherrock, it is her 16th title at the PDC Women's Series.
How much prize money is up for grabs at the PDC Women's Series?
If at least 128 players participate, the PDC Women's Series participants will be awarded prizes from the last 64, with fifty pounds for reaching this round. If there are fewer than 128 players, the counter only starts running from the last 32. In that case they do collect one hundred pounds.
This amount eventually keeps increasing. A final place already earns 1,000 pounds anyway. The winner of the tournament receives 2,000 pounds in prize money. The number one of the final ranking gets to compete at the Grand Slam of Darts and the World Darts Championship, while the number two also gets to compete at Alexandra Palace.

- I loved Jan and loved his walk on music "Explode" by Jordan & Baker. I think if he stuck around the BDO he definitely would have been World Champion, should have won in 2014, he never really showed any of his talent in the PDC. I remembered he worked in a bank or in finance and maybe that was his priority, he was also a fan and interested in magic. Definitely should have achieved much more in darts than he did. - This is exactly what I mean,littler survives the 1st round,I think you'll find a lot of other players did. Can you just report on the real sport,and not just 1 person. I like Luke,but this is getting boring now,as Kevin painter once said to Taylor!! The sport is about every player,not 1 who everyone seems to have put the sport on the map.,which he hasn't,he's just got in when the money is massive.
