Today was a special day for
Fallon Sherrock. The "Queen of the Palace" got to visit Prince William, son of England's King Charles III, to pick up her royal award.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, Sherrock posted some photos of her visit to Windsor Castle. This is one of the residences of the British royal family.

"So proud today, for myself and DARTS… to meet the Prince of Wales and to receive the MBE from him," Sherrock wrote on her official X (Twitter) account. "Never been so nervous. Thank you to everyone who has helped me get where I am. Very very happy."
In June, Sherrock was told she would be awarded in recognition of her achievements in the sport of darts. The 29-year-old Englishwoman made a huge global impact for women's darts by becoming the first woman to win at the World Championship in December 2019.
This created media hype around the world. Then, after her victory over Ted Evetts, Sherrock also managed to win over Mensur Suljovic. As a result, she was also invited to the World Series of Darts, where she reached the final of the Nordic Darts Masters in 2021. At this tournament, she lost to Michael van Gerwen in the final match. She also reached the quarterfinals at the Grand Slam of Darts in 2021.
She won the first edition of the Women's World Matchplay in July 2022, also played a starring role in the Women's Series since it was introduced and earlier this year became the first woman to produce a nine-darter during the PDC Challenge Tour. In addition, Sherrock also threw a nine-darter during the MODUS Super Series, a tournament broadcast on British television.
From now on, she may also add the MBE title to her name. With this, she follows in the footsteps of darters Trina Gulliver, John Lowe and the now deceased Eric Bristow.
