Fallon Sherrock set for Grand Slam of Darts return after hat-trick of PDC Women's Series titles

Fallon Sherrock captured her fourth consecutive title at the PDC Women's Series on Sunday afternoon. The Queen of the Palace also won the third tournament of this tournament weekend, while she also won the final tournament of the previous weekend. This strong series also assured her participation in the Grand Slam of Darts.

Two women will compete again this year at the Grand Slam of Darts in November. Beau Greaves managed to qualify by winning the Women's World Matchplay in July.

The highest-ranked player on the Women's Series Order of Merit would also receive an invitation. That was Mikuru Suzuki prior to this weekend, but the Japanese ace saw Sherrock closing in fast. With Sherrock winning the first three of a total of four tournaments this weekend, her lead over Suzuki has now become unreachable.

The 29-year-old reached the quarterfinals after wins over Sarah Brown (4-0), Vicky Plum (4-3) and Lorraine Hyde (4-1). Then a showdown with Beau Greaves awaited.

However, the reigning women's world champion was swept aside 5-3, after which Sherrock also managed to win against Angela Kirkwood (5-1) for a spot in the final. The final match was then a 5-3 triumph for Sherrock against Rhian O'Sullivan.
