Fallon Sherrock whitewashes returning Dobromyslova before Lisa Ashton completes semi-final lineup at 2024 Women's World Matchplay

The semi-final lineup is now complete at the 2024 Women's World Matchplay with Fallon Sherrock and - joining Beau Greaves and Mikuru Suzuki who qualified earlier in the afternoon.

With Anastasia Dobromyslova returning to the big stage after a long absence, the inaugural Women's World Matchplay champion Fallon Sherrock was her opponent. It was Sherrock who started by far the more comfortable of the pair too, breaking throw in the opening leg before narrowly missing a 145 checkout in leg 2, but returning to double her advantage nonetheless.

Despite hitting her first 180 in leg 3, Dobromyslova was wasteful on the doubles and Sherrock punished to move three legs clear. Pinning her first match dart on double top, the 'Queen of the Palace' sealed the whitewash to sail through to the semi-finals with 4-0 win.

In the semis, Sherrock will face off against Lisa Ashton. With Rhian O'Sullivan having the throw in the opening leg, the Welshwoman comfortably held throw. Ashton fired back with a hold of throw of her own in leg 2. 'The Lancashire Rose' continued to put the pressure on her opponent too, breaking throw in leg 3 with an 18 darter on double 10. After O'Sullivan missed a handful of darts to break straight back in the next leg, Ashton punished to move one away from the semi-finals. At the very first time of asking, the Englishwoman sealed victory in the next leg.
