After the Dutch Darts Championship last weekend, the next Euro Tour tournament is in Belgium. In the city of Wieze, the Belgian Darts Open is on the calendar from 5 to 7 May.
It is the third time a Euro Tour tournament will be played in Belgium. In 2020, the Belgian Darts Championship took place, which was won by Gerwyn Price at the time. In 2022, the tournament continued as the Belgian Darts Open. Last year, the event was won by Dave Chisnall, who also won the Dutch Darts Championship last weekend.
Defending champion Chisnall is seeded second at the upcoming Belgian Darts Open. The seeding list is headed by Luke Humphries.
The top-16 seeded players also includes Michael van Gerwen, Michael Smith, Nathan Aspinall and Peter Wright.
Belgium has a representation of four players on their Euro Tour at home. First of all, the two highest ranked players from the host country were invited. These were Dimitri van den Bergh and Kim Huybrechts. Furthermore, there is a Host Nation Qualifier on Thursday 4 May, where two more spots can be earned.
The field of participants for the Belgian Darts Open consists of 48 players in total. Among others, Krzysztof Ratajski, Jose de Sousa, Daryl Gurney, Ricky Evans, Gary Anderson, James Wade, Ian White and Chris Dobey also qualified for this tournament.
